Shizuoka is the prefecture that produces the most green tea leaves and its derivative products. Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki manufacture their motorcycles in the prefecture, making up 66% of the domestic market, while Yamaha and Kawai also manufacture their keyboards here.
Tourism & Culture:
Visitors to Shizuoka can enjoy various high quality green tea products including maccha and relax in hot springs with a prime view of Mt. Fuji. The Izu Peninsula is a popular spot for surfing, snorkeling and other beach activities.
